There are many expenses involved when you choose to undergo a plastic surgery. Among them, there are the ones that follow. To begin with, you always have to pay for medical testing and prescriptions. Before undergoing any type of surgical procedure, doctors always ask you -or at least they should ask you- to do some medical testing. They do so in order to be sure that you are not allergic to anesthesia, to silicone, etc. Breast implant cost rises a lot when you have to pay for those tests. Then, breast implant cost is also enlarged by the price of surgical garments. Sometimes the price of surgical garments is included in the fee charged by the surgeon, but this is not always the case. Then you have to add the fee charged by anesthesiologists, if there are any anesthesiologists in the operating theater. Breast implant cost is therefore affected by those expenses, too. And, apart from those expenses, you have to take into consideration a very big expense: hospitalization. And you must not forget to add the surgeon´s fee and the price of the implants. When you work out the total amount you have to pay for a breast augmentation surgery, you will see that that figure goes around $8,000, on average. Last but not least, breast implant cost is also influenced by factors that may appear after the operation. You may need, for example, to go to the doctor every now and then, and each visit costs no less than $150.
